Dr. Lisa Carter, Dean

Dr. Lisa Carter I welcome you to the Faculty of Science and Technology. We are committed to fostering a meaningful learning experience for our students by providing excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly activities. Our students, whether they are enrolled in programs, or taking individual courses in science, computing science or architecture to fulfill other areas of study, are diverse in their demographic and geographical location. With this in mind, our faculty, tutors and staff in Science and Technology are most dedicated to ensuring our students experience high quality education and are all a part of the Athabasca University community. The teaching approach we take is to enhance and extend student curiosity, learning and skills and to integrate research with learning.

We recognize that the world today is ever-changing and that there are greater demands to provide flexibility and creativity to meet applicable knowledge and skills needs of the future.
