December 14, 2015Edmonton, December 10, 2015:
The Alberta Association of Architects’ (AAA) Council recently announced that it has voted unanimously to support and recognize the renewed Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) Syllabus Program at the RAIC Centre for Architecture
at Athabasca University.
The RAIC is a national architectural program funded by the RAIC. Its combination of practical work experience and (now, online) academic courses is delivered through a partnership between RAIC and Athabasca University including two optional new degrees – the Bachelor of Science in Architecture
[BSc(Arch)] and the Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Architecture
(PBDA). Graduates of the Syllabus curriculum (or graduates with the PBDA) receive the RAIC Syllabus Diploma which is the pre-requisite to obtaining certification of credentials from the Canadian Architectural Certification Board and the right to undertake the final examination process to earn the right to the “title” ‘Architect’ in Canada.
